The United Kingdom’s answer to Welcome The Plague Year, Battle of Wolf 359 is intense, atmospheric Emo with duel female/male singers. Haunting interludes bridge gaps between piercing screams and various amusing samples. The last two minutes of the CD display’s this perfectly. Music to get lost in. The CD is short, a mere 9 minutes, and it leaves you wanting so much more. Apparently they are releasing an LP early this year on React With Protest. If you have the opportunity to get your hands on a copy, do it. One of Emo’s best new bands.

ReplyDeleteThe name is from TNG/DS9, and the sample at the beginning of track 3 is from VOY.
Also, they have two split 7"s out, one with Singaia (released on React With Protest) and one with Kaddish. As well as another demo from 2006. This disc is from their September 2007 tour.
